Xiaohe first started playing chess at the age of 6, he was quickly captivated by the fascinating looking pieces, however, he soon realized that Chess was more than just pieces, more so an entire universe of strategies and intricate planning. Xiaohe started playing for a chess club in China, and with his improvements, played for the club in annual interstate competitions. Upon moving to Australia with his family in 2013, he pursued his chess passion even further, Xiaohe attended Unley primary school first of which he participated in inter-school tournaments and achieved fantastic results. Moving into highschool, he was fortunate to meet David and Sabrina who guided him further down the pathway. Xiaohe started playing for Gleunga International High School in more serious competitions and tournaments. Xiaohe believes chess, apart from being a good hobby, also develops other areas of his everyday life, such as his problem solving skills and logical thinking. After many years of learning chess himself, Xiaohe is ready to actively contribute to Chesslife and guide younger players to starting chess and make it their passion of a lifetime.
