Rebekah taught herself how to play chess (badly) at the age of 10 and her chess skills have improved dramatically since then. She is a lifelong learner, with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) under her belt and almost completed Masters of Teaching (Secondary). She believes that Chesslife is offering young people an invaluable opportunity to improve various meta-cognitive skills such as self-regulation and higher-order reasoning. With 8 years of volunteer service, Rebekah is very community minded and hopes to one day develop educational video games! Rebekah is excited to take the next step in her own journey as a part of the Chesslife team and can’t wait to share in the journey of the young people around her.
