Nikita first learned to play chess at the age of 4, when his grandmother taught him how the pieces move. Ever since then he has played in many tournaments and has even had the ​opportunity to represent South Australia in the school chess nationals. He has learned skills in critical thinking, developed his memory and has improved his patience and composure and wants to give other chess players the same experience with learning chess.
